He has held roles as a Machine Learning Engineer and a Senior NLP Data Scientist at leading legal tech startups as well as a corporate innovation lab. Uwais is currently the Founder & CEO of simplexico – The Legal AI Consultancy.
Uwais has published academic research papers and industry journal articles on Legal AI and regularly speaks at industry conferences and webinars on the topic. He has delivered AI education programmes at international law firms and spends most of his time helping firms with designing and building bespoke AI systems for legal practice. He is on a mission to help the legal industry step into a future of collaboration with AI.
