Tanya Sadoughi is an Innovation Lawyer at Linklaters, leading innovation, AI and efficiency initiatives for the firm’s Banking practice. After qualifying as a banking lawyer at Linklaters in 2019, Tanya’s passion for legal technology prompted her to take on the dedicated Innovation Lawyer role in 2022.

In this unique position, Tanya acts as a bridge between the Banking team and those driving technological advancement across the firm. Her role involves uncovering and testing legal use cases for emerging technologies, such as generative AI, to improve the lawyer and client experience. In parallel, Tanya has completed the Oxford University Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, achieving a grade of 95.3%.

Tanya has taken a hands-on approach exploring AI’s potential in legal, including leading efforts around prompt engineering for Linklaters lawyers and its clients. Her experiences have led to speaking on a panel at Google, as well as co-authoring an op-ed for Briefing Magazine on training lawyers in prompt engineering techniques.

Prior to her innovation role, Tanya honed her legal skills as a banking associate advising corporates and investment banks on cross-border syndicated lending and structured financings. Tanya spent seven months on secondment to NatWest in 2020 to 2021 and six months to Linklaters’ Tokyo office in 2019.
