Matt Hervey is Head of Legal and Policy at Human Native, an AI startup in London that’s building an AI data marketplace bringing together rightsholders and AI developers. Matt was for 16 years at Gowling WLG, where he was a partner in the intellectual property team and headed its artificial law team. Matt is Joint General Editor of The Law of Artificial Intelligence (Sweet & Maxwell, revised edition now available) and was made a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts for his work on AI and the law. Matt helped found this year the International Law Association for Artificial Intelligence. He is a particular expert on AI and IP.
