Reynen Court hires accomplished legal tech ecosystem strategist

Samuel Moore to serve as technology matchmaker to drive industry change

Reynen Court Inc., the fast-growing software company supported by a consortium of twenty of the largest global law firms, today announced that Samuel Moore has joined the team to play a key role in the strategic growth of its legal technology ecosystem. Mr. Moore will serve as Reynen Court’s Legal Technology Ecosystem Strategist.

Sam Moore joins Reynen Court from Burness Paull, one of the largest law firms in Scotland, where he led the innovation function for nearly five years after having practiced as a solicitor. He also sits on the Advisory Board of Lawscot Tech (the Law Society of Scotland’s innovation and legal technology campaign) and is a Senior Tutor at Glasgow University School of Law, where he teaches the Legal Innovation & Technology module of the Diploma in Scots Law that he co-created.

Beginning his career as a trainee solicitor at Pinsent Masons in Glasgow, Sam is a graduate of Strathclyde Law School and the University of Strathclyde where he graduated with honors in Laws and Computer Science.

“Sam is a rare breed,” says Christian Lang, Chief Strategy Officer at Reynen Court. “Not only is he a passionate legal innovator with a significant track record of thought leadership and hands-on experience implementing some of the best tech in the market, but he can draw on a wealth of diverse experience (a computer-science background, biglaw legal practice, service as a front-line legal technologist, and–finally–responsibility for managing a law firm innovation function) to serve our platform users and technology vendors.  It’s a perfect combination of skills and experience to add to our team as we work to deeply understanding the unmet technology needs of firms and in-house departments and then source, shepherd, and champion the technologies that can help them drive meaningful change. We’re very excited to welcome Sam to the Reynen Court family.”

“I have gone through the pain of sourcing new technologies for firms, testing their security, reviewing compliancy, negotiating with tech vendors, deploying applications and then finding out after 9 months that we picked the wrong one so we could start all over again,” says Samuel Moore. “Reynen Court is striving to become the new normal in legal technology, offering vendors a standardized deployment pathway, which makes it a fast, easy and frictionless experience for firms and legal departments to try and buy the technology they need, at the moment of need. I am super excited to be part of a company that has the potential to truly transform the legal industry for the benefit of firms, their clients, the vendor community and society. With the unique support of twenty leading global firms, I’m confident the Reynen Court team is on the path to creating an extraordinary company.”

Empowering teams with cloud + control

For law firms and in-house legal departments, the Reynen Court platform provides a sophisticated software delivery and management system that enables them to run cloud-based applications either on premises or within virtual private clouds under their own control—thus giving enterprises access to the most modern software solutions without asking them to sacrifice security, stability, or direct control of their data. For technology vendors, the Reynen Court platform offers a standardized deployment pathway to meet any customer’s choice of infrastructure, avoiding the headaches of traditional on-premises/private-cloud software deployment and the pain of keeping customers with different deployment models up to date. For both, the Reynen Court Solution Store’s curated content and features like Test Drives and One-Click Proofs-Of-Concept take significant time and cost out of legacy technology sourcing and procurement processes, making it easier for customers to find and try the right tools at the right time and to deploy them at the moment of need.

More than 200 third-party application vendors are actively engaged with Reynen Court, with over 130 under contract and currently present or working towards participation in the company’s Solution Store.
